Act-Sing-Blend in Teaching Phonics to Young Learners

Phonics is one of the effective ways employed by teachers to teach the different phonemes to young learners. In my Act-Sing-Blend (ASB) technique, I integrated Jolly Phonics actions with the nursery rhyme, Bingo Songs. These enhance my pupils’ short term memory. Also, Arm Blending helps my pupils to combine the individual phonemes into words.
In April 2019, I was honoured to participate in MELTA conference in Penang to share this ASB technique to fellow teachers and future teachers.
